Engagement Photo Dress

This dress is from my favorite store: White House Black Market.  It fits perfectly with the B&W colors of the wedding.

Getting Ready

I couldn't pass up on something fabulous and damask!  I will wear this while having my hair & makeup done on the day of the wedding.

Church Wedding & Rehearsal Dress

I fell in love with a Priscilla of Boston dress for the church part of the wedding, but I couldn't spend that much on a dress for the church and the rehearsal.  I found an Alfred Sung Bridesmaid dress that I am having altered to look the same as the Priscilla dress.

Update: I do have the Alfred Sung dress, but I don't have the time to have it changed into the PoB dress like I had wanted.  Instead, I bought the WHBM dress below.

Church Wedding Veil

I love the retro look of a birdcage veil.  I found one for very little money from Events and Occasions.  The flower will be a b&w feather fascinator from a local bridal shop.

Wedding Gown

I don't want to chance Matt ever looking over my shoulder, here is a link to see my dress on the model.

Custom Label

This is my "something blue".  I am having my name and wedding date embroidered onto a satin label and sewing that into my dress.

Wedding Veil

I made my own veil.  It is similar to this photo.  I do not have photos of the actual veil, yet.

The length is slightly shorter than my train.  The ribbon edge is 3/8" (thinner than the photo).  The sides are straight down instead.

Inspiration Photos

Headband:

I really like the sleek lines of a ballerina bun.  My hair is very straight and will not hold a curl at all.  My hair is also really long right now, but since I want a bigger bun, I bought some real-hair extensions that match perfectly.

The tiara look was a little too much for me.  I am getting a headband instead and wrapping around the front of the bun.  The brooch will be placed on the back, like the photo to the left.

Makeup

I am going to MAC at the mall before the wedding.  Knotties have recommended an artist there and I will get my trial on the day of the Bridal Shower.

These photos are from a friend's wedding.  I love the smokey eye and the false lashes.  I don't know if the makeup will be that dramatic for the wedding, though.
