Bouquet

We haven't met with the florist yet, so these are all ideas that I like.  My favorite flowers are tulips, peonies, and hydrangeas.  I also love dogwood blossoms on the branches, but those might be too far out of season or too expensive.

For the bouquets, I like just one kind of flower tied together with exposed stems.  I like the same kind of thing done for the low centerpieces, but with three vases of varying heights each with one of my favorite flowers.  For the taller centerpieces, if the dogwood branches are not feasible, we will have to see what the florist comes up with.

The flower colors: for bridesmaid bouquets, either yellow, fuchsia, or white... all the same color of one flower.  My bouquet will either be yellow or fuchsia.  Centerpieces will probably all be white and yellow, unless they can get hydrangeas in the specific blue that I like (not too purplish).

I'll update after talking to the florist.

* Update * I met with the florist and he only does local flowers that are in season.  Great for beautiful flowers, but unfortunate for the flowers I wanted.  No peonies.  Tulips (if he thinks they look good enough) will be brought in just for the bouquets... none for the centerpieces, which is fine with me :)  Hydrangeas are a definite.  The flowers will be various shades of yellow.  I can't wait to see what he creates!

Bouquet Charms

Knottie birdcagebride found these charms at AC Moore and she was wonderful and shipped some to me.  I thought adding them to the bridesmaid's bouquets would be a nice touch.  Afterward, they can wear them on a chain if the desire.
