My creativity...

I hope the fact that I go to art school can somehow be reflected in our wedding.  Here is my list of what I plan to make:

Card Box ** DONE (except for label) **
Photo charm of my Mom for my bouquet ** DONE **
Ring Bearer pillow ** DONE **
Table Runners ** No longer doing these... the damask pattern is too busy for the room in our venue.  I still love damask and will sell some of the fabric and use some to decorate a nursery in the future :)
Guest Book: photos of us as children and as a couple.  I will leave white space,
like a yearbook, for guests to write memories or wishes for our future.
Everything paper: Save the Dates cards, Invitations, Maps, Thank You cards,
Menu cards, Seating cards, Reserved Seat signs, fans for programs
** DONE ** Save the Dates, Invitations, Thank You cards
** No Longer doing: maps (sad about this, but printing was too expensive), menus, programs
** Working On: Seating/Escort cards, reserved seat signs, card box sign
Calligraphy on invitation envelopes   ** DONE **
Framed wedding photos of parents & grandparents guest book table

** All finished Paper DIY is located under the "Paper" tab **

Possibly more, but I've got to get these done before I add to the list!

Card Box

I am using some of these boxes to make a stacked card box. They were a great find through Nashville Wraps... $21 for all 6!  I am only going to use two, but the rest can be used for storage in our home.

DONE!  This took me about 15 minutes to complete.  I *might* add blue ribbon.  There will be a sign that says "Cards" attached to the top box, but I need to design the invitations and use that pattern, first.

Ring Bearer Pillow

DONE!  This took quite a few hours.  I had the image of what I wanted in my head, but I wasn't sure how to make each of the petals.  After a few trials and errors, I ended up with a beautiful pillow!  Now I know why silk flowers cost so much... they are not easy to make.

You cannot see, but there is a ribbon surrounding the pillow, holding it in on each side.  There is another button, just like the one in the middle of the flower, on the bottom of the pillow, making it tufted.

Photo Charm

I want my Mom to be close to me on the wedding day, so I am making a bouquet charm framing a photo of her.  I found all of these at a craft store and I will see which one looks the best in the end.  The big one will be painted silver.

DONE!  I am leaving the frame the bronze color.  It will be placed on a ribbon which will be wrapped around the bouquet.  I do not have the ribbon attached yet because that will be determined by the florist in March.

Table Runners

My love of damask is out of control!

This blue one would be my dream damask if it wasn't $42.50 per yard!  I am sewing table runners for all of the reception tables and the only blue damask I can find, other than this one, is usually with brown.  Our colors are teal, black & white.  So, the B&W damask it will be.

Update: the pattern I first ordered is the top one on the right.  I didn't realize the pattern repeat is 3"x3", so I guess I will use this to decorate a future nursery or see if another knottie likes it... I will make table runners for them for only the cost of the fabric.

I have now ordered the pattern below.  The repeat is 12" x 12".  Fellow Knotties suggested I make table squares and frame the squares with ribbon matching the centerpiece flowers.  I'll post photos in March when the squares are done with ribbon edge (we aren't meeting with the florist until March, so flower colors will not be known until then)
